Feature Request: Confirmation prompt before importing
I wanted to export my data, but I accidentally tapped on import instead. Now all my new data is gone, because it was overwritten by the old data from an old backup. It would be useful if the import function prompted the user to confirm the import before overwriting the current data. It would make it less likely for an accident like mine to happen.
Is there a way to restore the workouts? I have everything uploaded via WebDAV. Also, what does the "remove permanently" button do? If I haven't pushed it, can I still restore my activities? I couldn't find any information on this in the wiki.
Remove permanently is remove from the database (not just invisible). If the db file is overwritten I believe the data is not available anywhere else. You may have a backup at Google, try to install on another device to see if you get the deleted db...
Just had the same thing happen to me. A warning and/or confirmation dialog would be very helpful here and avoid frustrations - I just lost 1 1/2 years worth of data :-/
The db is backed up to Google, should be restorable unless you have overwritten it.
And how can I restore it from Google? I tried installing the app on another device but the db wasn't restored.
I also checked all the app backups on Google Drive and Runner Up isn't on the list.
I do not see it either (but the f-droid version), I have only restored complete backups which included the database. (checked in Android app). Weird.
