Running activity stops randomly without any alert
Hello there,
I've been using this awesome app for a while and I found an annoying issue: sometimes, the app simply stops and when I finish my activity, I discover that no data was saved.
I'm using a non-root Asus ZenFone 3 Zoom (ZE553KL) running under Oreo (8.0.0. OS). I have given the app all the permissions and disable it from the battery killer of Asus.
I'm just using the running in outdoor activity, so I don't know if this happens also with other activities.
Any ideas of what's going on? It's kind of a sad thing when I realize that nothing was saved after my activity...

do you mean the GUI disappears without notice? Maybe a duplicate of #1037. If so you can easily reproduce the problem by using the app-switcher. If you 'clear all' or 'clear RU' the GUI simply ends. But the recording background process still works.
I've had the exact same issue. The app does exactly what I need but this issue is the reason I uninstalled it. Now I've a new phone I will install it again to see it this issue still exists.
The common reason is a task killer in the supplier implementation. The issues reported in Play Console also indicates that. Sometimes you can configure the OS, sometimes the manufacturer hardcodes this handling (with a separate whitelist). Some hints: https://dontkillmyapp.com/
