More activity types
Any chance we could get more options for "Sport" type? The catchall other option has been causing some problems.
I've been doing a fair bit of yoga recently and I've been using runnerup to keep track of these workouts. But, because there is only an "other" option I have to go into runkeeper ever once in a while to correct the workout type. Strava seems to be even worse as I can't find the workouts to correct them even when runnerup says I've uploaded them. Both strava and runkeeper support quite a few different activity types that runkeeper does not right now.
The mapping is not trivial, a common list is hard to maintain. If you add one category it affect all providers. Also, to handle lists in Android the complete list has translated. So changing one item will require the complete list to be updated. (The other ways I have seen to handle lists required substantially more code.)
RU Other is mapped to Strava "workout".
But a pull request with a reasonable number of activities mapped to activities in the providers or at least a mapping for the providers could be added.
That's fair. I don't currently have the technical knowledge to put together such a pull request myself, but I could take a look through the supported providers and see if there are any workout types common to all of them if that would be helpful.
That may be a separate issue then. The RU other activities I've logged haven't shown up as the generic Strava workout either.
