Fallback pricing provider

Open ronaldt80 opened this issue 10 months ago • 1 comments

Is your feature request related to a problem? Please describe. I use entso-e as pricing provider. Frustratingly though it has abandoned us a few times due to issues upstream. EV Smart Charger has become the main charging planner in my household so this is highly unwelcome

Describe the solution you'd like Fallback option, eg ability to input 2 pricing sensors, a primary and secondary. Secondary comes into action when the primary is empty/causes errors

Describe alternatives you've considered A template sensor which mirrors the values of entso-e; when the data is incomplete fall back to nordpool or tibber for filling the template sensor

Additional context N/A

I see the point. I have had some issues with another pricing provider integration in the past, and actually been thinking about this.

The integration now has support of GE-Spot price integration, which supports multiple pricing providers and fallback.
