Tesla MY won't start/stop

Open jopocop opened this issue 1 year ago • 2 comments

Version of the custom_component

Version 2.0.1

Configuration

Tesla MY and VW ID3 (vw as first entry in the ev_smart _charging, tesla _2) and a dummy vw Elli charger - i.e. car integration used to start/stop. Yes, the tickbox in the configuration is checked.

Describe the bug

VW works fine. Tesla does not start or stop (i.e. is not controlled by this integration). I got this integration working very recently, but I'm quite certain it worked for a day or few. Tesla Custom Integration works fine, I can start/stop charging there using the switch. I tried to create automation triggered by a button_push event (changing the Tesla integration switch), but there was a competence gap here.

Debug log

Not much to log, nothing happens when pressing the buttons.

Hi! Sorry for late response. Have you got it working?

There are two alternatives.

  • Provide the Tesla switch entity as the "Charger control switch" in the configuration of this integration.
  • Create automations that controls the Tesla integration, triggered by this integration.

To test that it works, one can push "Manually start/stop charging" buttons from this integration.

...or you can control start/stop with the charger instead of the car.

Got this working. I have to say that I'm not exactly certain what fixed it. Trying a lot of things, waiting for the charging to start and forgetting it regardless of whether it works or not. Will close this one.
