Introduce hexadecimal numbering just to complain about MySQL

rfc2616 says following:

6.1.1 Status Code and Reason Phrase The Status-Code element is a 3-digit integer result code of the attempt to understand and satisfy the request.

That means as long as you don't use float numbers as status codes, hexadecimal ones should be fine according to the rfc.

And, if merged, what would happen to 712?
