Continuously loading Files

After running the node server (using either gulp-serve-dev or node src/server/app.js) the server runs ok with no errors. But the page is blank and the node server then reports loading the bower_components ,, Continuously .... It seems to be stuck in a loop and eventually breaks chrome and I have to stop the server.
