Undo undoes the change AND switches the view

When I undo a change, I'd like to see what the change was (i.e. change an equalizer setting on a pitch channel). However, I can't always see it -- the view can switch back to an entirely different pitch channel/bar/etc that I was looking at, not the one where I made the change.

It would be great to at least have a setting to turn off this behavior, and keep viewing the exact place where I made the change.
