If yum fails, script ignores it and continues anyhow

Pretty much what the title says. If the "yum" invocation fails (in my case it was due to an external repo which couldn't be updated directly, but could be for any reason) there's no error handler or confirmation, the script just blindly continues and overwrites existing config files with updated ones.
