Is JSONKit abandoned by its author?

I am looking at the bunch of issues similar to https://github.com/johnezang/JSONKit/pull/121 :

It seems very surprising that the author of so-cool-one-of-the-most-popular-objective-c-libraries left its child without giving any explanation to its users.

@johnezang, where are you?! Please, look at all these issues begging for your attention.

Trying to find John's contact info, I found his SO profile. It shows the time John has been there the last time: May 20 at 13:25. I am very intrigued to know, why is he absent here on JSONKit.

Maybe the the community needs to select a new maintainer? I've switched my JSONKit upstream to @mz2's fork.
