I cannot find any explicit license, nor does Github propose any default. Do you have something in mind?

@john-blackburn Please put a license file in here. I'd love to use this library in a project that I'm a major contributor of (it looks fantastic!) but as there is no specified license, the author of the project and I cannot do so without risking copyright infringement.
