Bug description

When signal is the default SMS app the quick call response SMS will not show up in signal, but when I open up the preinstalled SMS app and make it the default SMS-app, the quick call response SMS send previously will show up after some seconds.

Steps to reproduce

  • Send a quick call response to an incoming call
  • Check Signal for sent message (it won't be there)
  • Check other SMS messaging app installed for sent message (it will be there)

Actual result: Sent messages are not displayed in Signal Expected result: All SMS messages should be shown in Signal (since it's the default messaging app)

Device info

Device: Xiaomi Mi9 Lite Android version: 11 Signal version: 5.30.1.0

I don't know what a quick call response sms is, but could it have something to do with the message somehow ending up in the system message database, something Signal does not use? If this is not the case it is probably an upstream issue for Signal.
