[Feature request] Visualized metrics
Hi, Thank you again for the great application.
I was wondering if some kind of visualisations could be added to the app in which it shows daily, weekly, and monthly pie charts showing how much time consumed for each project.
Thank you!
This could be the first feature of a global metrics page. I am pretty busy atm. with other features, but a PR would be welcome.
Hello, do you have any plans/thoughts about this? Seeing only the numbers make the digestion of it little harder. Plus, visualization makes the app more appealing. Currently I am using both superProductivity and Firefox addon Tomato Clock together. The only reason I am using the addon is its visualization. Even a very basic visualization is very effective, I suppose.
See the reason why the addon kept me using it:
@ozgurakyazi there is a lot of stuff on my plate but it's definitely something I want to improve at some point. Suggestions on how to do that are very welcome and tomato clock might be a good inspiration. I think the first step would be to collect suggestions on what metrics should be displayed and how.
I am afraid that I can't help much with the question of "how", but maybe I can provide some inspiration for the "what": 🙃
Using Toggl, I really liked their Report section. Summary shows a bar chart with the time worked in total, displaying a bar for every day in monthly view (A) or every month in yearly view (B). The timeframe to be displayed can be set manually (C), allowing for a lot of flexibility (I liked how easy it is to navigate different scales, offering me insights to analyse my work structures).

The grouping by Project (and User, Client) was super helpful for me to see if I can spend some more time on a project or if I'd have to really cut hours at a glance. The pie chart for that was helpful especially when just clicking through months, seeing how proportions changed. For Super Productivity it could well be interesting to group by tag. Dependent on how people use the tags this could generate meaningful insights, too.
Additionally, the overview can be filtered by projects (D) and tags. For me, it allowed to evaluate "project groups" together without having to stuff all the tasks into one project.

Detailed is pretty much the same what Super Productivity does in the Worklog.
Weekly is a more strict table format I merely used but I can imagine it to be helpful for other users (E).

For me personally, the most important thing is being able to compare projects, quickly see how much time I spend on which project and how that develops over time.
I hope I can contribute something to make a visualisation concept for Super Productivity! :)
Hey Gunnar! That looks pretty good and should be absolutely possible with the data we have available in the app!
