System dark mode not working on Android

Expected Behavior

System dark mode should adapt dark mode to current dark mode.

Current Behavior

System dark mode setting is activated, I'm in dark mode on my phone, but the theme is light mode on SupProd.

I can confirm this behavior on a Pixel 4a with Android V13.

Can also confirm for Fairphone 3+ w/ Android V13.

This seems to also have something to do with sync (maybe?), als even the manual "dark mode" setting gets reset to "system" (incorrectly identified as light mode) on the "keep remote" action when syncing.

It happened for me on Pixel 5 on GrapheneOS latest. First time I manually changed it to dark, it appeared the second time last night, and today it remained dark mode. I'll keep more updates if necessary, hopefully it will stay this way.
