@PaulieScanlon, Yes you're right, the [isChildVisible](https://github.com/PaulieScanlon/mdx-embed/blob/08412dc268dafee35044964e404fa4944c0b8e1f/packages/mdx-embed/src/components/general-observer/general-observer.tsx#L12) is set to false by default and it is never set to true when used with nodejs (no browser).

No, there is no urgent for a single component, a global config option to turn the observer off seems to be a good idea, I will wait for this update...
