Is the stream self-initializing? If not, we might also need an init segment to concatenate with that.

I see that it's a VTT in MP4 segment. The parser needs an init segment to get timescale information, which is necessary to interpret the timestamps in the MP4 text...

Confirmed. Mobile YouTube doesn't have the same issue. I suspect it may be because of the code that exits fullscreen mode on rotation, but I haven't hooked my phone up...

Unfortunately: - We don't have an LG TV to reproduce this issue - It's a decoder or other platform-level error, which we usually can't do anything about anyway I think...

That all seems reasonable. I'm not sure if timescale should be on SegmentReference, but I don't have any other concerns. Is SegmentReference where you put timescale due to potential timescale...

I'd like to find an agreement with you on timescale, but otherwise I think a PR for this would be great.
