Bosch BCC102 - Thermostat does not update until I open the Alexa App on my phone

Describe Your Problem: I'm new to homebridge... When I check the thermostat in homebridge, the values are incorrect. They do update if I open my Alexa app on my phone - initially, the Alexa app shows the same values as homebridge, but, then, they update. I'm guessing there is some sort of call from Alexa to Bosch that gets triggered to refresh the info? Is there some trigger in this plugin to affect the same update? Or, is this normal and I have to have some Alexa app always up and running to refresh the values? or, am I missing something all together?
