Still getting the libtools2 error on Scientific Linux 6

We have the suggestions in the README file regarding the plugin_load_file: The global flag is not supported, libtool 2 is required for this., i.e. added the LD_PRELOAD=/usr/lib64/perl5/CORE/libperl.so at the beginning of the daemon line in /etc/init.d/collectd, but still I get exactly the same error.

The RPM is 4.10.3-1.el6 from EPEL: collectd.x86_64 4.10.3-1.el6 epel

What else is there to do?
