Couldn't figure out easily how to use the different options, resulting in no charging anymore
Thanks a lot for this very interesting little app!
After using your previous app/command (chlimit) for my M1 MBP, I switched to EternalPower to have the charging control functionality better integrated into the GUI. But i fear that I don't understand well enough the different options.
I've read through your documentation and definitions on the original thread in which chlimit was incepted, but i never got it to work as easy as "sudo ./chlimit 35 65". Although the dropdown is nice and most likely very functional, I couldn't clearly derive what it was doing. In the end i managed to not get my laptop to charge anymore at all, even without EternalPower active. So I reverted back via "sudo ./chlimit 101" and afterwards "sudo ./chlimit 35 65" and all is fine again. It's keeping my charge nicely between those two percentages and is now running from the power adapter.
I know this app (in beta) was just built a few days ago and that it's too soon for documentation to be available. But I wanted to just mention for others to be careful in case you start relaunching EP and clicking on the different options (not fully understanding what they do), that you might end up with a weird state where there's no charging happening anymore, regardless whether EP is running or the charger plugged in.
Regardless: i value your work very much and your chlimit predecessor is working perfectly for now. Much appreciated! I'll be watching this space!
Fair enough - I need to put together some documentation :).
