Dynamically group calendars in shortcode arguments

Open joedolson opened this issue 6 years ago • 2 comments

Idea from private support forum, e.g. [my_calendar category=”6,3,5(25,26,27,28,29),2,4,30″ format=”calendar” time=”month” above=”nav,jump,timeframe,key” below=”print,feeds”]

In above example, categories 25-29 are being grouped under category 5. They'll be displayed & toggled as a group as if they were in category 5, even if they aren't.

This is pretty complicated. As a dependency, I think that My Calendar would need to use hierarchical categories. Might be doable by adding a secondary taxonomy, but it's not a priority.

Hmm yes. That is pretty complex. In general we need a surface that is smooth and easy to surf so to speak. Just below the surface one can feel the complexity of what makes the wave. Where advanced users can get to work, and further customize the calendar.
