Feature request: Hierarchical groups
It would be great if the groups could be hierarchical (nested) instead of flat. This would make managing large numbers of templates significantly easier since horizontal space runs out very quickly.
To clarify: You mean more than 2 levels, correct? Because 2 levels are supported right now.
Oh, maybe I'm using an outdated version then (2.15) because I can only have 1 level of groups.
I previously used 'Clippings' which supported nested groups. So when I ported from 'Clippings' to Quicktext 2.15 so that I could update my Thunderbird from 68.x I was disappointed Quicktext only supported one group level and I had to flatten all my 2 or 3 level hierarchies
I have now updated to the latest Thunderbird and Quicktext seems to have automatically updated to 3.5. I was hoping it would now support two group levels based on your comment, Samuel, but I can still only create one group level. Did you mean what you said? I notice my exported xml file still says quicktext version="2" should it now say 3.5?

After a quick look at quicktext\chrome\content\modules\wzQuicktext.jsm I see that version=2 is the latest data version and only one level of group is supported in the code
So, in that case, +1 for this feature request
It depends how you count levels. I counted 2 levels, as I counted the group as level 1 and the template below it as level 2. Looks like you all counted only the one level of the group.
