Announcement: Google Support is now declared as experimental
With the release of CalDAV & CardDAV Provider 1.24, the official support for Google has been removed. This is a personal decision based on how I have been treated by google users. I have reached a point, where I am no longer motivated to spend time on google support.
I will no longer accept or answer issues and emails regarding google support. I will accept pull request, if someone else wants to work on google support.
A default installation will not allow creating new google accounts in TbSync, existing accounts will continue to sync. The official add-on page no longer lists google as a supported provider.
To enable the unsupported experimental google support, flip the following Thunderbird property:
extensions.dav4tbsync.googlesupport
Go to Options --> General and scroll down all the way --> Config Editor... --> I accept the risk --> Type "extensions.dav4tbsync.googlesupport" in search --> Click the record to change "value" column to true.
