Mac issues: Minimizing puts an extra minimized window icon in the dock unless macOS settings are changed to minimize to the dock icon

As the title says. This kind of app should really be in the menu bar ("tray") on Mac. Also, closing the app, should leave it running, with a true exit available in the submenu of the tray icon. Also, the x and minimize buttons are ridiculously tiny: Screenshot 2021-10-30 at 15 37 07
