Rome version generates a crash

With any version of npp the Rome version crashes all the time. We are running on Windows 10 Enterprise (1909) I finally got a working version (Berlin) installed that doesn't crash but gives an empty window.

This Plugin crashes all the time when started in the Notepad++ v7.9.3 (64 bit) It doesn't matter if the file window is containing correct xml-code or not, and it doesn't matter if the window content is selected or not.

As soon as the Plugin is selected from the Plugins Menu this error window occurs. no possibility to bring the plugin to work
