Download location is not respected

Finamp version is 0.6.23 running on Android 12.

I want my downloaded songs to live on the SD card. I've added an app directory download location, and confirmed that the directory exists. However, downloading files doesn't appear to put anything in the new location. No errors appear in the logs.

I'm honestly confused about how to select a download location, as I can't remove the preexisting one, change the priority, or anything like that.
