Auto Play Music On Bluetooth Connect
Was curious if we could get an option for Finamp to automatically continue playing music when connected to specific bluetooth devices. I have a friend with an iPhone and when she gets in her car, it will auto connect and start playing music. It's very nice because she doesn't have to mess with her phone everytime she gets in the car.
I played around with this briefly a while ago, my efforts can be found in the bluetooth-resume branch.
If I remember correctly it basically worked, but would start playing for any connected bluetooth device, not just audio devices.
So some kind of device filter is still needed, ideally where the user can allow-list some devices and auto-resume only happens for those.
It'd be great if this was integrated with the Restore Now Playing feature.
So it could resume playback on a per device basis. For example, this would allow your headphone music in the gym to be different to your car music.
Is there any update on this? Wanted to automate it with Tasker but it's honestly hard without turning on your screen for a sec. It would be a great feature and I really miss it. One thing that could be done is adding custom launch activity options to the app, that way you could launch Finamp with parameters of music album straight from Tasker.
This is the only missing feature that is preventing me from using Finamp as my primary music app. Would be a very nice feature.
