[Suggestion] Database and LDAP authentication support

Could you add in database based and/or LDAP based authentication? At the moment its Kerberos based (on top of INI based) which is normally not enabled by default on all domains (or disabled for security purposes).

A simple database role based authentication is definitely something we would like to do. We can also give the option to use LDAP authentication instead of Kerberos. We would likely enforce TLS for LDAP authentication, so we would need to figure out a nice way to manager certificates for that and make that clearly documented.

Been thinking on this and I believe we will add pure LDAP in the short term. Database will be a longer term thing. I'm adding LDAP to the 1.1 milestone.
