Icestudio locks mouse cursor inside primary display

When running dual displays, opening icestudio my mouse cursor can no longer travel onto my second monitor.

If icestudio is closed from the file menu, normal functionality is restored. However if the editor is exited with the close button in the top corner then the mouse stays confined to the primary monitor and the only remedy I've found is a system reboot.
