You need to use the clipboard box from the side panel.

@jlesage I'm also having problems with this, even using the clipboard box. I'm using Windows 11 with Brave/Chromium.

I can paste text into the Clipboard box in the side panel, but can't get it into a connected Putty terminal. Right-clicking at the current location in the command prompt highlights the line (and replaces the clipboard). Right-clicking elsewhere highlights text instead of pasting. Ctrl+V inserts ^V into the terminal window, not what was on the clipboard.

Any other techniques I should try?

Did you try to middle-click ? It should be the way to paste with the Linux version of Putty. Otherwise, ctrl+right-click and then select "Paste from CLIPBOARD".
