@rhc54 Having applied your patch to openmpi and using the patched openmpi in my [small version of this test program](https://git.jan-kohnert.de/jan/test-mpi), I can confirm, the patch [works](https://git.jan-kohnert.de/jan/test-mpi/-/jobs/41047), the error message vanishes....
