JFTR, "Disable Framebuffer" also disables Kernel Mode Setting and Graphical Mode (X11) does not work without KMS.
We just verified this today. Still an issue.
JFTR, systemd/systemd#17988 was fixed a few weeks ago via systemd/systemd@6dc68a0. The commit is included in systemd v254 which hit Debian/testing [last week](https://tracker.debian.org/pkg/systemd). Grml daily should already include this systemd version....

Boot option `bootchart` does not seem to work. A look at the [isolinux configuration](https://github.com/grml/grml-live/blob/master/templates/boot/isolinux/hidden.cfg#L19) shows that it expects `/sbin/bootchartd` but the package `bootchart2` is not part of any current Grml...
