Multiple tuners?

I'm using IPTV as my feed, how can I get Plex to see more than 1 tuner? I've tried editing the tvhProxy.py file to limit it to just 2 tuners, rather than the default of 6 - found an old issue where someone had worked around any limits by selecting just 2 (rather than 3 in his instance).
Anyone?
