Compose Key Not Working

Open Lucas-Sichardt opened this issue 1 year ago • 2 comments

Hello,

I am using wvkbd on the Pinephone with sxmo and unfortunately I am not able to access special characters like _, @, : etc. It seems to be supposed that they shoukd be available by using the compose key plus the period key for example - but this is not working. It seems that the compose key only works with normal letters for accessing umlauts etc.

Any ideas how I can type a : or _?

Best regards,

Lucas

Indeed, Cmp + . should give access to :
_ is under Cmp + , ..

I can't reproduce the problem, all seems fine here, are you on the latest wvkbd version (v0.14.3) or an earlier one? Since you're on sxmo I assume you're using sway. Are you using the default layout?

Hello,  I am using postmarketOS stable (v23.06) and I am using the default layout - did not change anything. Somebody gave me the tip to switch to symbols layout by clicking "ABC" once and then using the shift key - so I get the needed symbols now. But I thought it should be possbile by compose key as described in postmarket wiki. The wvkbd version is: 0.12
