FR: jj-on-svn
Filing this mainly so that the issue exists -- I don't expect it to get much traction, nor is much investment from the maintainers warranted.
In addition to git and Piper, I occasionally work with FOSS projects maintained with SVN (primarily, R: https://svn.r-project.org/R/trunk/ / https://www.r-project.org/). It would be "nice" to keep the uniform jj query language over SVN repos as well.
svn has a lot of limitations as a VCS that might make it infeasible to accomplish this.
I was wondering a similar thing with Breezy (fork of Bazaar), which actually interops with Git with no trouble at all. I thought maybe both could use the import/expot functionality with Git to advantage. Another project that has a legacy SVN repo is Wordpress. Not sure if they completed the switch to Git the last year or so, but they were doing half and half for awhile.
See the discussion in #7135 which shares some similarities to SVN.
