On top of other windows.
With enabled mode on top of other Windows. Task creation window:
-
Blocks the work of other addons, for example TST, it is impossible to switch it on the tab sidebar. At the same time, you can switch to the sidebars of bookmarks and history.
-
The button on screenshot opens a new window, this is not correct. Tab should open, not a window. Moreover, in the "on top of other Windows" mode, the window is hidden from below. And the same thing in the download request, the same button opens a stupid new window, with all the panels, but the size of a pack of cigarettes. =)
-
The downloads window does not catch the state "on top of other Windows", is this how it was originally intended?
- TST works here, although the main Firefox window cannot be focused because of this workaround. Are you seeing different results?
-
Are you using the option Open extension windows in Private Browsing mode? I just tested and if this option is enabled, the link will be opened in a new small private window.
-
Yes this is intended. I think this is not a dialog that requires immediate user input.
- Try switching to the history first, calling the add-on window, and then switching to the TST panel.
- OK
- As a result, the window is hidden behind the main firefox window.
- I still cannot reproduce it:
Not sure what is happening.
- As you see the option Open extension windows in Private Browsing mode is causing lots of problems. It is possible to workaround them, but it may introduce many new problems. For the window sizing issue, I can only think of the workaround with
navigator.sendBeacon
, which is controversial for privacy.
How useful do you think this option is? Probably I'd just deprecate it.
- Well, this can be a new option.
