White background during redirect in dark mode

A trivial issue on OSX Catalina: when dark mode is enabled and i set as target of the redirect a website with a dark background as well, i get blinded for a second by the white screen the appears during the loading.

Could it be possible to make the background color of the redirect-intermediate-screen depending on dark mode state as well? (And since we are there also the background of the options)

Google Chrome: Version 80.0.3987.122 (Official Build) (64-bit) OSX: Catalina 10.15.3 NewTab-Redirect: 3.1.5

+1 for this (on Windows). Everything is set to dark on my system, but I can't find a way to get NewTab-Redirect to start dark before the redirect.
