don't stay in browser history?

I love NewTab-Redirect!

One thing that always gets me, though, is that it remains in the tab history as if a visited address. It always throws me off when I'm trying to back out of something and get to where I started.... I see an active back button and I think there's one more item in my history to "back onto", but it turns out to be the NewTab-Redirect entry rather than an "actually visited" URL.

Do you think there's a way to either display NewTab-Redirect without adding to history, or to wipe out the entry as the tab navigates to the first "real" place?

@lauralnaiad this displays because the extension actually loads a page, then via JavaScript it pulls your preference and redirects. It might be possible to remove the page from history using the history API.
