Hi I have a version of this running on my server - I just changed the way the resize variables are set my original image is https://images.paom.com/epaomfp/zine/zineimg/14_Noun_Project_html/5b91bab4-0200-4772-a543-a186ec7b5270.jpg
when i compress it top https://images.paom.com/epaomfp/zine/zineimg/14_Noun_Project_html/5b91bab4-0200-4772-a543-a186ec7b5270.jpg?width=100 it looks really lossy
when I was using past resizers like embedly i did not experience the same issue - any thoughts? thx
Have you tried adjusting the IMAGE_QUALITY
?
EDIT: Okay, it doesn't seem to be related to that.
I am using IMAGE_QUALITY: 100
what do you think?
I'm not sure, but you may experiment with using the nohalo
interpolator, and applying the sharpen
filter after that?
That's what rsz.io does (it's also using libvips): http://images.paom.com.rsz.io/epaomfp/zine/zineimg/14_Noun_Project_html/5b91bab4-0200-4772-a543-a186ec7b5270.jpg?width=100&prog-info
thanks - that does look much better
