Install.php problem

Hi. I successfully setup Apache, MySQL, etc... for the WebInterface. Everything was good to go, I used chmod 777 on the "inc" folder, opened my browser, went to "localhost", clicked the installer link, entered all of the information, clicked start installation, and then there was just whiteness. I know what's supposed to happen (I've done this before) and as soon as I start the install, the browser loads for a short time, then just whiteness. Any ideas? Thanks! -Astrophysicist

try to restart apache... /etc/init.d/apache2 restart

I restarted Apache successfully, but nothing changed.

can u run ls /var/www and post the output please?
