A service update was released today and re-deploying private endpoints should no longer cause a conflict. Please let us know if there are any further issues.

As Zhenlan mentioned, we are looking into supporting this in the Portal. In the meantime wanted an alternative method that may even be desirable. --- Not quite what you're looking...
