Yes I believe so, if we could deploy it to the testing env I can run some tests the next couple of days.
One issue is setting it to `true` is that if any of your packages dependencies trip the error they will fail and you won't be able to build your package....
Perhaps it could use `variableMeasures$unitText`? We had also briefly discussed using tidyeval so you wouldn't have to quote variable names, which would go along with this idea.

This is a duplicate of https://github.com/r-lib/pak/issues/207 and only occurs iteractively. If you use `.Last.error` you can see the full error as a workaround.
A way to do this which is already supported is to put a minimal `DESCRIPTION` file in the root directory of `kbodwin/Stat_331` and list all the packages you want them...
Do we need to do this? While it is not formally out of support by https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/MacOS_version_history#Releases if you look at the table for older releases they all ended Apple support...
