Going to hop on this thread instead of creating a new one just to say thank you as well. I too switched from emacsformacosx.com and there absolutely is a noticeable difference. Moreover (add-to-list 'default-frame-alist '(undecorated-round . t)) works as expected, so that's a nice perk.
