Hey @jimblandy

It looks like it has been a few months since you have been able to look at this repo. Would you be interested in adding additional maintainers? I would be happy to help maintain perf-event.

Regardless, and for others reading this issue, I have forked this repo here and published it as perf-event2 and perf-event-open-sys2. I would much rather upstream the relevant changes into perf-event but for now I'll be maintaining the fork.
