It does not work in mc subshell

[pasha@hubbitus ~]$ sleep 1.23
                                                             [ 6s736 | Feb 14 07:50PM ]

I assume it may be related to https://www.midnight-commander.org/ticket/2027

Do you have workaround for that?

In the thread you linked to, it looks like the issue has been resolved in MC itself?
