Updates & deb packages

Open ioannidesalex opened this issue 3 years ago • 10 comments

Hello,

Didn’t have the chance to check nuster yet but it seems a great product!

I would like to ask what’s the best way to keep nuster update? Any thoughts about an ubuntu/debian repo or deb package for updates?

Do you have discord? I would like to get in touch.

Thanks!

Hi,

You can find the latest nuster build on Dockerhub. That would be great if someone can help maintain an ubuntu/debian repo!

I haven't used discord, you could reach me by email:)

Well I don't really use Docker! What's the plan for providing updates to current users?

You can download from the releases page

So every time you need to update on bare-metal, you need to download source, compile it, save the configuration file and replace app files?

Not the same @packeteer since HAProxy gives the option of Repos.

unless packaged by a distribution, I can only find docker images.

where are you finding your packages?

Well all major distributions have haproxy packages as you mentioned.

There are also some 3rd party repositories such as https://launchpad.net/~vbernat/+archive/ubuntu/haproxy-2.3

seeing the benchmark of nuster got my interest, but there is no available tutorial, readout to setup a proxy there are tons of tutorials for squid and I cannot find 1 for nuster I guess more guides would make it easier to use nuster. Sorry it matched here that help is needed, I know that's not the topic.
