Unable to play with friends
Hello have make a Win10 Bedrock Server in my own Homenet and running phantom. Xbox and PC can connect. How can I play with friends over Internet? Have a stable VPN connection with a friend. Must he run phantom to? he have xbox to and he cant see my Lan Server. Have anybody a idea what i can do? Sorry for my English. Thanks
That depends. This won't make this appear on the public Internet. You will need to open ports on your firewall to do that and use your public ip address. If he wants to use his xbox to connect on his side then he will need to run phantom in house and point it at your ip address. 9t should then appear on his xbox.
only port 19321? is this an udp or tcp port? thanks.....
Tcp should do it.
have open tcp port 19132 in router and connect external over phantom to my router adress:19132 . server start but i cant see a lan server in minecraft.....
Hey @Willhan75, a couple points of clarification:
- If your Bedrock server is running on your home PC and you want friends to be able to connect from their PC, phone, or tablet, you'd need to forward the server's port on your router. This isn't related to phantom.
- If you want to use phantom to join a server that your friends are already playing on, you don't need to do any port forwarding.
- If you want your friends to join a server running on your PC from their consoles, they would need to run phantom on their own PCs. You cannot forward phantom's port to allow your friends to join on their consoles.
- If you're port forwarding anything for Bedrock, it's UDP (not TCP) and the default port is
19132.
So to answer your original question:
Must he run phantom to?
Yes, your friend would need to run phantom if he's trying to connect from a console like an Xbox or PS4. If he's just connecting from a PC or phone, then he can use your server's IP directly.
