Feature request: Spell check

Open dai9000 opened this issue 1 year ago • 3 comments

Thanks for making the best tagging software I've ever used!

So, I suck at spelling and am spoiled to having misspelled words highlighted and right clickable in all web browsers nowadays.

Is there a way to have that available in TagGUI?

IE, using this or some other already built library: https://thepythoncode.com/article/make-a-realtime-spelling-checker-gui-python

Yes, it would be great to have a spell checker for the normal words and one that makes sure that the trigger word(s) are written correctly. How easy is it to put a typo in your trigger and then spoil the caption by it?

I have an updated image_tags_editor.py file that use pyenchant (pip install pyenchant), and gives you spell checking for the Add Tag line and the text area under it for TagGUI. image_tags_editor.py - https://pastebin.com/JdssRWqu

The Add Tag area is a little clunky, as the whole line turns red if you misspell anything in the line, but just right click and it will tell you the word and give you replacement options or add to dictionary.

In the text area, it works like you would expect, with it putting a red dashed type underline under the misspelled words, and letting you right click for replacements or add to dictionary.

This file is based on the v1.32.2 version of TagGUI,

Thanks again for a great program!

I added this info to a new Issue and am closing this one, as I have it working like I want with this update.
