Version and Update? How to use.

I was on version 0.2 and was having issue with text color variable. I updated and it went to version 0.2.6 and for the project I was on it worked yay.

However, on another project the color is not working again, I ran gem list and see I have both versions installed? Could it default back to old version somehow? Should I, and if so how, remove the old version?
