Livestamp

I realize that part of the reason for this exercise was to learn more about Ember and its API. It's very cool that it can be made to so what you want. However, I'm curious if you've seen livestamp? You could wrap it up in a component and it would give you the same outcome. In fact, I think it can be done with no code, just a template.

@neverfox I hadn’t seen livestamp — looks great. I agree, it would be a perfect fit for componentization. Thanks!

@jgwhite Happy to share. In any case, the effort here has given me a generic way to approach forcing computeds to update based on time events. I came across this when I was trying to figure out how to make a computed property depend on time in the way it can depend on other properties.

Where in the world are you based? I co-run the Ember London meetups. A talk on this topic would go down great.

I'd love to but...San Diego, CA.

Haha… okay that'd be a stretch. If you do give a talk any time be sure and let me know!
