Support for zigzag lines and other "shape patterns"

By zigzag, I mean a VVVVV-shaped line, and other shape patterns could include things like sinusoidal lines, lines consisting of a series of loops, or arrows, or any other shapes - potentially, it could use some other line definition as the pattern, repeating and stretching/padding it according to need.

I believe that it could be a powerful channel to embed extra information into - just color and dash/dot patterns start to get very visually similar after the first few distinct styles.
